Terms and Conditions

The Promoter is: Hubbub Foundation UK Registered Charity No. 1158700 | Registered Company No. 09038107. Registered office is at Somerset House, The Strand, London, WC2R 1LA. The prize is provided by Hubbub Foundation UK. 

The prizes are as follows:

  • £50 voucher for cooking equipment 

  • A cookbook of your choice

  • A Food Savvy apron

  • An invite to a ‘cook a long’ in April with Suffolk-based Instagram food stars Joey and Katy, who will choose the ultimate Tasty Toastie. 

  • A selection of the best entries will be available to view in a gallery on the competition page www.foodsavvy.org.uk/tasty-toastie

The rules and how to enter are as follows:   

To enter the prize draw all you need to do is email (a photo, drawing, recipe or film) of your food saving toastie to foodsavvy@hubbub.org.uk along with your name, age and town.

The judging criteria: The winner will be chosen from the valid entries received in the foodsavvy@hubbub.org.uk inbox. The competition is open to residents of Norfolk and Suffolk from primary aged children upwards, except for employees of:

  • Hubbub Foundation UK

  • Hubbub Enterprise

  • Suffolk County, District and Borough Council staff associated with waste management

  • Norfolk County Council waste team

  • Or any close relative living in the same household as the above

Entries will be judged in three separate age categories:

  • Primary school pupils (up to age 11)

  • Secondary school pupils (aged 11 to 18)

  • Adults (aged 18 and over)

The competition is open from Monday 7th March 2022 at 9:00am when the posts go live. Closing date for entry will be Sunday 10th April 2022 12:00 am. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.  No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.   

The prizes are as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.

Six winners (2 from each age category) will be chosen from the three age categories by the Promoter, Hubbub, and be awarded the full prize set. The winners will be notified and confirmed by email. This will be done within 14 days of the closing date.  If the winner cannot be contacted, has not completed both criteria for entry or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.  

Delivery will be made to a domestic address in mainland UK only. Hubbub’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered.  The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.  

All entrants agree to the use of his/her/ their name and any photography or films created will be used in publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner, or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.  

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to the promoter and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy found here.  

Hubbub shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.   

Hubbub reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.  

Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
